The litigants who filed a reconsideration petition include Haji Ashad Ahmed and Hafiz Rizwan, both sons of Haji Mahboob, Maulana Hizbullah and Abdul Ahad (the first Muslim plaintiff in the case).

Haji Mahboob told our colleague Times of India, 'I am with other Muslim litigants in Ayodhya case. I have given my consent to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board. It is considered as a U-turn of Mehboob. Earlier, Mehboob told AIMPLB expelled Maulana Salman Nadvi that there was no need to reconsider. Please tell that along with Nadvi, there was also a representative of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of the arbitration committee.

Haji Asad said that he too has agreed to a reconsideration petition to AIMPLB. He said, 'This is necessary. We should exercise our constitutional rights and we will fight till the end. ' On Sunday, the AIMPLB, the largest Muslim organization in the country, said that it was not a party in this matter. In such a situation, he will give legal help to Muslim litigants.

The three Muslim litigants who have decided not to file a reconsideration petition in this case are the Sunni Central Waqf Board, Shia Central Waqf Board of UP and Iqbal Ansari.

Earlier on Sunday, apart from Jamiat, Mohammad Omar Missbuddin and Maulana Mahfujar Rahman had agreed to file a review petition.
