Delhi Police on Friday arrested a burglar of 36 years. The police were surprised when they came to know that Khayyum has two flats and he has made crores by crores. He used to enter someone's house in broad daylight and no one doubted that he could be a thief.
When police reached his residence at Yamuna Vihar, they found that his house was full of new gadgets, home appliances and expensive items. Looking at his house, no one could guess that he was a thief and the neighbors never doubted him.

The police came to know that he owned 67 lakhs in Yamuna Vihar and 47 lakhs in Kabir Nagar which he had built with stolen money. Apart from this, 2.5 kg of gold, 11 watches, 7 mobile phones and 53 master's were also recovered from his house. Among these, there were many new home appliances and 27 lakh cash.

Police said that he used to do his work with great confidence. For this, he used to wear nice clothes so that the neighbor of the house in which he was going to burg, would feel that he was his relative. He tells neighbors that he is a relative of the landlord concerned. He asks neighbors where the landlord is right now. If the landlord were in the house, he would not have stolen there. Police said he used to lie a lot and his wife thought he was a property dealer.

Khayume used to do everything alone. Police said that he would search for a house which is closed and there is no activity happening there. His arrest has solved 65 incidents of burglary in East Delhi .

Police has also arrested his elder brother Ayub, who brought his younger brother home after the theft. DCP (East Delhi) Jasmeet Singh said that Khayyum had dropped out of studies. He also engaged his brother Ayub (46) in this work as he wanted his brother to cover him in this crime. Ayub runs a biryani shop. He was not good at burglary, so he used to just pick and drop Khayume. Ayub was arrested in the 2014 burglary case. Khayyum mostly committed thefts in Mandavali, Madhu Vihar, Geeta Colony, Mayur Vihar, Shajapur, Laxminagar and Ghazipur.
